SPECTRUM YOUTH PROJECT
Helping youth age 15 to 30 prepare for and find employment
Who?
- Must be between the ages of 15-30
- Out of school and unemployed
What?
- 10 weeks paid workshops (guaranteed wage of $8.00 per hour based on attendance)
- Superhost, First Aid, and Foodsafe Certificates
- Indoor and outdoor activity based team building
- Career exploration, self-assessment, goal setting and planning
- Nutrition, health & wellness
- Theatre workshops
- Communication and assertiveness training
- Resumes and cover letter creation
- Information and employment interviews
- Job readiness - building skills and lifestyle to be ready for work
- Bus passes or tickets for first weeks of the program
When?
- Next program starts April 19, 2010
